Understanding Superiority Mask
The superiority mask is what happens when confidence becomes a weapon. Certainty is used to end conversations, status is used to silence, and vulnerability is treated as weakness.
In this pattern: - Others grow quieter over time - Disagreement leads to condescension - Status or intelligence used to silence - Vulnerability treated as weakness
If others grow quieter, smaller, or cautious around this confidence, that impact matters. Strength that silences is not safety.
Examples
• "You clearly don't understand."
• "I'm just being honest."
• "Some people can't handle the truth."
